Bend & Scoop is a weekly indie music podcast (NEW EPISODES EVERY FRIDAY!) spreading the gospel of vinyl. The title is an homage to the opening scene of the cinematic masterpiece Up in Smoke. Each episode is recorded not quite live from Lukewarm Tallboy Studios deep in the land of Gar.
This podcast was conceived by a guy named Bob, who lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth “Metroplex” region of Texas. He curates and edits all music and other audio clips used in each episode of Bend & Scoop. While the selected music generally focuses on indie rock/pop/country/soul from the past 10-15 years (with the occasional exception every now and then), most of the other audio content (movie clips, etc.) originates from the formative years of Bob’s youth in the late-’70s and early-to-mid-’80s, when he developed a deep love of music. He also gets a kick out of classic radio jingles and promos, so those also get sprinkled in from time to time.
